Management Team

Jeff Nigriny works closely with members of industry, the U.S. government and the U.K. government to build the CertiPath PKI bridge. Jeff has held several positions with Fortune 500 organizations including IBM, GE, and AT&T. Over the last 13 years, he has worked in various disciplines of information technology, with a focus the last five years on IT security.

Jeff has been nationally recognized by Forbes "Best of the Web" and Computerworld, and was featured on the cover of CSO Chief Security Officer magazine (December 2002) and InformationWeek (May 26, 2003). In 2003, Jeff was the recipient of an honorable mention in Computerworld's 2003 Laureate Awards for Business Services. In 2004, Jeff and Exostar won the Computerworld Honors 21st Century Achievement Award for most innovative technology in the business and related services category.

Jeff Nigriny holds a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science from American University. He also holds the CISSP and TICSA certifications.

Vijay Takanti brings nearly 20 years of experience working in the Financial Services Industry to the management team. As the PMA (Policy Management Authority) Chair for CertiPath, Vijay is working closely with CertiPath customers to define and deliver a cost-effective trust solution to meet industry needs.

Vijay had formerly founded Evincible Software with a vision to make security a differentiator in the arena of electronic commerce, before joining Exostar, and CertiPath. Prior to starting Evincible Software, Vijay held various senior management positions at Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (S.W.I.F.T.). Most recently he served as the Chief Technology Officer at SWIFT.

His responsibilities included specifying the next generation of SWIFT technological blueprint and implementation plans Vijay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications and a Master of Technology in Computer Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology, Khargpur. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from George Mason University.

Kaus brings 15 years of network security engineering, technical sales, and management experience from the leading corporations of NetPlexus, MCI, Citicorp, and Hewlett Packard.

Prior to joining CertiPath, Kaus had founded NetPlexus Corp., a globally managed security service provider for Fortune 500 customers in Americas, Europe and Asia. Prior to NetPlexus, Kaus was the chief engineer and architect for MCI's Internet Solutions Center, and was also an executive staff member of MCI's web hosting division in which he designed and implemented numerous internet, intranet, and extranet solutions for MCI's Fortune 100 customers.

Kaus holds a US patent on designing resilient network infrastructure for hosting centers, and has authored a security book entitled 'Practical Guide for Implementing Secure Intranets and Extranets'. Kaus holds a Masters of Science degree from George Washington University, and is a graduate of the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership. He also holds the CISA and CISSP certifications.
